What can you see underwater?

Seven tenths of the world’s surface is covered by water. The Red Sea has very clear water and some of the best marine life in the world. It is home to over 1,350 species of fish and sharks and over 350 types of coral. Some of the reef dives leave you breathless such is the impact of diving over coral so colourful and rich that you’d scarcely believe they were natural. We have underwater canyons, reef walls, beautiful coral pinnacles standing up from the sea bed and fabulous historical shipwrecks. More importantly, you can see each other since visibility is often over 30m. Aside from what you see, is what you can feel. With perfect buoyancy control and an hour or so to spare, then you can experience the feeling of flight. In fact you are better off than a bird that requires perpetual motion to stay airborne. Divers can stop, hover and do as they please.
What can you do underwater?
Move great distances without any effort. Perform acrobatic stunts without being a gymnast. Dive deep. Dive shallow. Dive at night safely. Dive in a drysuit. Dive without any suit. Drop into a deepwater canyon. Swim through a cave. Swim with the fish. Be where no one’s ever been before. Stay still and be weightless. Learn new skills. Do underwater yoga. Master the use of new and exciting equipment. Search for and recover sunken objects. Dance!

Is Scuba diving safe?
Scuba diving can be simple and easy. It’s as safe as you want it to be and the ability of the person who teaches you. Until you learn to dive and gain experience then you won’t necessarily know what safe is. It’s not just about avoiding drowning or getting bent; you can injure your ears, lungs and sinuses or cut yourself against coral or marine life if you leave training to chance, act foolishly or take unnecessary risks. Choose an instructor like you would choose any other professional person – by reputation, experience and attitude. Under an experienced watchful eye and a professionally structured course then YOU will know what’s safe or not. The rest is up to you. Never cut corners or dive when you don’t feel up to it. You will develop all the skills and know-how you need for decades of safe, enjoyable and injury-free diving.
Where can I find an instructor like that?
Right here! I have trained over a thousand students at varying levels during the past ten years. The other hat I wear is that of a guide, so I know what’s in store for you after your training. You can only learn so much from a manual or a newly qualified pro. Thousands of hours in the water in a variety of environmental conditions, in several countries, have given me extensive knowledge and expertise which you can benefit from during your training.
Remember, your beginner course is a service as well as a product and despite attempts to make you believe otherwise your course may well differ between one instructor and another. Course outlines and standards and the printed word are one thing, but good manners, professionalism and courtesy are another. Membership of an agency is no indication of experience or overall ability.
Choose an individual that you’d like to train with, check their background and discuss your requirements in advance. You would with any other professional service provider so don’t be any different with scuba diving. Please click on Beginner’s for details.
